What first?
In my years of practice, I learned to pay attention to my patient’s sleep health. Each day I heard reports of sleep apnea, sleep paralysis, restless legs, and total insomnia. I tried to use my chiropractic training to address their pains that started while they slept. I turned to yoga to help with the anxiety that kept them from falling asleep. While subtle changes were made, nothing helped permanently. I found that for many of their true sleeping issues, I was forced to come up with deeper instructions beyond postural aids alone. What started as physical and medical recommendations, quickly evolved into mental and emotional tricks for staying energetically healthy.
